The Museum in Bellpark – a forum for history, photography and art – surprises the visitor with unusual themes. Where else could you find exhibitions about the motorway, clubs, huts and barracks, bunkers or mopeds? Local history discoveries are juxtaposed with present-day topics producing surprising results. A key focus of the museum is photography. Temporary exhibitions, which show current trends in Swiss art, are also part of the museum’s concept. The Museum in Bellpark is building an archive on local history themes and collects contemporary Swiss drawings. It is situated in the former Villa Florida, which was built by the well-known hotel architect Emil Vogt (1863–1911) in 1911. The rooms can be hired for private functions.
