Situated in beautiful landscape between sandstone rocks, below the pond of Rainmühle with weir was here milled grain since at least 1495 till 1982. The old industrial mill on five floors in the upper and on two floors in the under mill is considered under the still existing mills in Switzerland as special object, because the machines and mechanism from the different epochs are conserved authentically. With the outdoor place for aperitif, the mill bar and bistro in the room with the flour sack beating machine, and concert- and dining-hall with grill-king buffet in the flour storage room, the Rainmühle is the perfect place for private events such as family party, works outing or class reunions.
